The Dowd for Mayor campaign is running an underdog race against the incumbent mayor of Pittsburgh. For what they are trying to accomplish, speed and flexibility are paramount. Bearded Studio was approached to create a campaign web site, and to use that as an opportunity to establish the look and feel for Patrick Dowd's participation in the Pittsburgh 2009 mayoral race.
What the campaign needed immediately was a way to collect volunteers, donations, and add to its mailing list. Bearded Studio provided that functionality immediately, and followed that up shortly thereafter with Mr. Dowd's full web site.
Unfortunately, you can't take your web site with you when you're knocking on doors. So Bearded Studio also produced a series of printed promotional items: handbills summarizing Patrick's history and stance on the issues, campaign buttons, and St. Patrick's Day-themed stickers.
