Pursuer of Peace

Rodef Shalom Congregation’s Pursuer of Peace Award recognizes the significant commitment and sustained contributions of an individual or organization to the pursuit of peace through fostering interfaith understanding. Rodef Shalom decided to look to the wider religious community to select the first recipient of this prize, the Most Reverend Bishop David A. Zubik, DD.

The Congregation approached Bearded to create the look and feel for the event, including a logo, sponsor package, stationery, mailing materials, and event books. The visual basis for the designs comes from the large stained glass window in Rodef Shalom's historic sanctuary which is inscribed with the words "Seek Peace and Pursue It." The designs for Pursuer of Peace strike a balance between a grounded dignified simplicity, and a loftier vision of hopeful ideals.

The award itself was designed by Bearded and executed by Regent Square stained glass artist Glenn Greene, with a base constructed by East Liberty blacksmith London Pattern.

The unique Pursuer of Peace sponsorship package was used to attract and collect donations for the event.
The actual award made of steel and stained glass.
